Working at MC Machinery

Those who are hired for our CNC machine technician jobs will use their customer communication skills as well as their mechanical and electrical knowledge to repair, troubleshoot, modify, and test complex technical problems on Mitsubishi Machining products. This is a travel position as technician services are provided on-site at our customer’s facility or via telephone if possible.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Travel to customer locations for technical problem diagnosis and on-site repair

  • Examining machines mechanically and electrically and dismantle and rebuild the machines to perform needed repairs

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems over the phone

  • Professionally and effectively communicate with customers

  • Interpret schematics and block diagrams effectively to analyze and troubleshoot problems

  • Detailed documentation of product problems and resolutions

  • Other duties assigned

Individuals must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job successfully. Individuals with disabilities can get reasonable accommodations to enable them to perform essential functions.

  • Knowledge of how to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams

  • CNC programming skills a plus

  • Ability to use Windows operating systems

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team environment

  • Extensive travel is necessary, valid driver’s license required

Education and experience required:

  • 2 year Electronic or Technical Degree, or equivalent in experience

  • Skilled Electrical measurement and inspection techniques (voltmeter, oscilloscope, and other measurement equipment)

  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems

  • Skilled in mechanical measurement and inspection techniques (dial indicators, micrometers, and calipers)

Working Conditions

Most of the work will be done indoors but you may be exposed to weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, and sunshine. The job also involves working near mechanical parts with a moderate to loud noise level. This position has an average of 10-20 overtime hours per week. Possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical activity including frequent bending at the waste, upper body twisting, standing, frequent kneeling, crouching, speaking and hearing, and repetitive use of hands including squeezing and keyboarding. Frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds, and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 pounds is required. Constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of more than 50 pounds with the help of handcarts and other wheeled devices is also required. Good visual and color acuity are required for the position.

CNC Service

CNC technicians will be servicing machinery on-site at our customer’s facilities. Our CNC field service technician jobs require individuals to travel to customers to service the machinery and make sure it is in good working order.

CNC Maintenance

For our CNC maintenance technician jobs, individuals must be able to determine maintenance needed and provide maintenance on-site to ensure the machines are working efficiently.

CNC Repair

For our CNC repair technician jobs, individuals must be able to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose problems with the machinery and provide the necessary repairs to get the machinery working again.
