The History of Waterjet s.r.l. and a New Partnership with Mitsubishi

Waterjet s.r.l began building Waterjet machines near Milan, Italy more than a decade ago. Initially for use in cutting and texturing stone, Waterjet quickly expanded its machine offerings to include products for a wider range of more sophisticated industries. Today, Waterjet is a worldwide organization with products in industries as varied as food preparation and aerospace production.

In 2005, MC Machinery Systems, Inc., a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, approached Waterjet to partner on a new line of highly sophisticated waterjet machines capable of offering a level of accuracy and sophistication found only on more sophisticated machine tools such as EDM and laser. Mitsubishi has worked closely with Waterjet to engineer machines that meet Mitsubishi’s stringent standards of accuracy and reliability.
