CPG and MC Machinery roll out new Hybrid EDM wire, announce warehouses across U.S. and Canada

Traditional zinc-coated Xpress Z wire has some new competition. MC Machinery Systems recently introduced the new ZT Hybrid EDM wire from Consumables Product Group (CPG), a division of MC Machinery.

Produced in Korea, the hybrid EDM wire has a baked zinc coating making it less flakey and cleaner than the zinc-coated Xpress Z wire.

Although the hybrid EDM wire looks smooth, the surface actually exhibits cracking technology. The purpose for the cracks is to aid in wire core cooling during the EDM process. More efficient cooling in the off-time of the pulse allows maximized use of spark energy during the on-time, minimizing electrode breakage. Faster cutting and fewer wire breaks is the key to productivity.

As an OEM, MC Machinery is committed to providing customers with top-grade, competitively priced consumables from Consumable Product Group (CPG). By strategically placing CPG warehouses across the U.S. and Canada, including five centrally located EDM resin depots, CPG ensures it’s never too far away to solve the needs of customers.

From wires, filters and guides to dielectric fluid and more, customers can count on CPG to have everything necessary to satisfy EDM, Laser, Waterjet, Milling, and Press Brake consumable needs.

CPG warehouses are a one-stop shop. Sales, service, applications and financing are all under one roof making it easy to get access to high-quality CPG products backed by years of testing.
