After months of preparation and hard work, IMTS has come to an end. The biennial show took place September 10 -15, and for those that couldn’t attend, we wanted to share a few highlights including some of the new technology we showcased at our booth.

IMTS was an incredible show to be a part of this year. Thousands of attendees stopped by our new booth location in the south hall throughout the week eager to talk to our product managers and discover what machines were the right fit for their application needs.

“This has been a great year for MC Machinery and for the U.S. manufacturing industry in general,” says Alan Hallmann, North American sales manager for EDM and machining solutions at MC Machinery. “It’s no surprise that IMTS 2018 set records for the number of registered attendees – the economy has been booming and people are excited about manufacturing’s future and are ready to invest.”

Digital technology and automation were central topics of interests this year and we look forward to continuing investing in these areas to stay ahead of the game. As expected, the new EDM M800 control, TV-500 milling machine with a 6-axis MELFA robot and our remote monitoring and support solution, remote360, were key booth attractions.

Another booth attraction was NASCAR driver Erik Jones with Joe Gibbs Racing. We have a long-standing partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing and they count on us to bring engineering ideas from concept to car as quickly as possible. Jones was at our booth the second day of the show signing autographs and taking photos with attendees.

We’d like to take a moment to thank everyone that stopped by MC Machinery’s booth for their continued support. Here you can find a full list of machines that were at the show, and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call or stop by our headquarters in Elk Grove Village, IL.
