GCAMP (Golden Corridor Advanced Manufacturing Partnership), an organization of manufacturers dedicated to creating a sustainable manufacturing workforce, and TMA (Technology & Manufacturing Association) held a Manufacturing Career Fair at MC Machinery’s new headquarters in Elk Grove Village, IL. The event took place on April 18, 2018, from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Around 150 plus high school students from school districts 211 and 214 (in Cook County) attended the Manufacturing Career Fair and more than 40 local employers participated. This event really highlighted the importance the community puts on making sure high school seniors discover that there are rewarding, high tech careers in the manufacturing industry.

For years, manufacturers have reported a sizeable gap between the talent they need to keep growing their businesses and the talent they can find. The goal of the event was to bridge the gap between employers and young talent.

Students and parents also had the opportunity to tour our showroom which showcases our latest EDM and laser machine technologies, and have their questions answered by manufacturing veterans.
