With 2014 coming to an end this week, MC Machinery is looking back at its highlights. One of the year’s best moments came at the summer's annual EDM open house when MC Machinery announced it installed its 10,000th EDM machine.

It was no surprise the 10,000th EDM customer was TNT EDM in Plymouth, Mich. TNT has grown considerably over the past 25 years, and has always been eager to invest in its future.

What started in 1979 as a 1,500-square-foot shop in Livonia, Mich., has grown into one of the top full-service production tooling and prototyping operations in North America. The shop currently occupies 77,000 square feet in Plymouth, Mich.

TNT EDM works with clients in all industries, particularly in automotive and land-based power generation. Its roster of 16 Mitsubishi EDMs includes the three latest machines that pushed MC Machinery Systems over the 10,000-EDM milestone.

“The main reason we’ve grown so much over the years is our ability to turn jobs around quickly, without sacrificing quality,” says Tom Mullen, president and owner. “MC Machinery Systems helps us accomplish that—with machines that are reliable and produce a good quality part.”

Mullen also recognizes that MC Machinery Systems goes above and beyond as a partner.

“With MC Machinery Systems, you’re getting a lot more than just the well-known brand of Mitsubishi. You are really treated like family,” he says. “They provide full-service support and go out of the way to deliver what we need to best serve our customers.”
