Lynam Inc. has increased productivity, precision-parts quality and overall repeatability since installing its second MC Machinery press brake last December.
The Fontana, Calif. company is a national supplier of sheet metal products to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
Eugenio Martin, Lynam’s manufacturing engineering manager, said that the new Diamond Series electric press brake reduces setup time with its multiple automation and programming capabilities.
“Press brake operators of all skill levels can easily set up complex jobs,” Martin said. “This saves tremendous time and resources. Press brakes have not changed that much mechanically over the years, but technology like automation and diagnostics can really set you apart from the competition.”
Coupled with the Diamond BH Series BH1353 hybrid press brake installed in 2018, the new Diamond BB Series BB4013 has made a big difference in how Lynam serves its customers in the telecom, security, and fitness industries, Martin said.
“The MC Machinery press brakes have allowed us to be flexible and nimble while adapting to changing market needs,” Martin said.
Designs can be replicated on either press brake, Martin said.
“We’ve been able to get very repeatable high-quality parts, and it is painless to set up,” he said.
Lynam Inc., which also has two MC Machinery fiber lasers, has appreciated MC Machinery’s excellent service from experienced technicians, Martin said.
“Downtime is inevitable,” Martin said. “The MC Machinery service technicians are extremely knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond—we really count on them.”
