  • Primary purpose of this job function is to provide management and guidance to the staff of applications engineers, as well as, develop documentation and sales materials for the machine tools sold at MC Machinery Systems.  The candidate will be required to exercise independent judgment and discretion to resolve application-related machine operation problems for our company and our customers. In addition, the incumbent must be able to determine the best training methodologies for our staff and our customers on how to process material in a production environment in an effort to improve and/or enhance the performance of our supplied machinery.  Additionally the candidate will be required to collaborate with Applications Engineers to prepare and carry out marketing efforts for the purpose of securing business from prospective customers.  Occasionally assists Applications Engineers by performing test cuts and demonstrations for prospective customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating all customer demonstrations, cutting tests, trade show demonstrations and techniques for the presentation of the machine tools we sell. Also responsible for the efficient promotion and profitable sale of all products.

    Products Include: Vertical Machining Centers, Horizontal Turning Centers, 5 Axis Machining Centers, Automation and Special Turnkey Projects. 


The successful candidate will be required to coach and mentor a staff of applications engineers in the proper techniques for manufacturing and customer interaction.  Additionally, human resource management is required for interviewing and hiring future staff, as well as, coaching and managing current employees.


A minimum of 5 years experience in machining techniques, programming, and operation of CNC vertical milling machines, horizontal lathes, and 5 axis machining centers will be preferred. Management experience, as well as, applications engineering and customer interaction is also preferred. Technical college and training certificates for CADCAM and machine CNC control are also acceptable experience for consideration.


Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  The chosen candidate will have excellent written and oral skills.  The candidate will also have experience with MasterCAM, DelKam, Solidworks, Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.  Supervisory experience preferred but not mandatory. Training can be provided in management practices for the right candidate.
