SUMMARY: The main responsibility for this role is to source and identify top talent, fill all job openings and perform general HR duties for the department by performing the following duties.

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Recruit top talent including sourcing, interviewing by phone, face to face and skype and reference checks.

  • Coordinate recruiting activities including tracking employment applications, scheduling and coordinating interviews, tracking candidates’ status and communication with applicants;

  • Partner with managers to determine requirements for the position and qualities of an ideal candidate;

  • Post positions on all recruiting tools and work with marketing for HR branding to attract new hires;

  • Coordinate new hire process including initial communication with future employees, new hire paperwork, onboarding set up communications.

  • Develops and maintains network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates; utilizes internet and social media recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates;

  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants

  • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs;

  • Manage and maintain applicant tracking system;

  • Create and maintain job descriptions for all positions;

  • Annual Affirmative Action compliance reporting; Census data, Vets, EEO-1 monthly management reports;

  • Assist H.R. department as needed

  • Travel as necessary - not expected to exceed 10%


2-4 years of experience in a Human Resources environment and the recruitment function

Must have a strong understanding and awareness of the sensitivity and importance of human resources processes and be able to operate with discretion, confidentiality and a sense of urgency

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain credibility, trust and rapport with staff at all levels

Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects and the ability to adjust to shifting priorities in a consistent manner

Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; knowledge of ADP Workforce Now a plus
