JOB SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Supervisor will be charged with planning, organizing, and overseeing the performance of all warehouse personnel, ensuring the efficient and safe operations of warehouse operations. Utilizing experience in logistics or supply chain and having previous supervisory experience this role will create and foster a strong team environment. The Warehouse Supervisor will report directly to the Sr. Logistics Manager on day to day operations and goals based on company expectations. As a supervisor this person will ensure all warehouse personnel are trained in all standards and procedures for safe warehouse operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will maintain proper personnel records and employee coaching and reviews when necessary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides direct supervision to the warehouse team.
  • Ensures the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse while adhering to all OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, and other required regulations and guidelines.
  • Develops and implements standard warehouse operating procedures.
  • Works cooperatively with other departments to accomplish tasks.
  • Maintains documentation per company and customer guidelines.
  • Received inquiries and/or complaints from other departments and customers and works to respond accordingly in a timely manner.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability and availability to work in varying conditions.
  • Working knowledge of warehouse and mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to motivate and train team to ensure safe operations of warehouse.
  • Knowledge of international shipping requirments.
  • Availability to work varying hours when needed.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced warehouse environment.

Education and Experience:

  • 7-10 Years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution or related field.
  • 2-4 Years’ experience supervising in a team warehouse environment.
  • Associates Degree in logistics or supply chain preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft skills, including Excel and Word.
  • Certified in OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT regulations or willing to become certified.
