Port City Metal Services (Port City), an MC Machinery fiber laser customer, was recently featured in the May issue of The Fabricator. The story highlights Port City’s decision to upgrade its laser fleet from CO2 to fiber laser technology to enhance its capabilities and customer offerings.
After a year of diligent research, the company chose to invest in a Mitsubishi eX-F 8-kW fiber laser machine from MC Machinery.
“After learning about the Zoom cutting head, River Navigation System, remote360 monitoring system, and economical price point, we knew this was the machine we had to add to our laser lineup,” says Clint Warren, Port City assistant general manager and business development manager.
Because of this purchase, the company has been able to process and work with reflective materials like brass and copper. They have also shortened lead times for customers.
